Emma Watson dumped by All

It seems Emma Watson has cut all of her Burberry ties over the summer including boyfriend and co-star campaign model, George Craig. The Harry Potter star who once fronted the fashion campaign with George was replaced by Transformers actress Rosie Huntington-Whitely this season.

To top everything off Emma was dumped by George who is also the lead singer of the band One Night Only. The couple spent the summer together after meeting as models but it seems Emma is bowing out of the spotlight. With the last of the Harry Potter films having just wrapped, Emma return to university for her second season without an acting contract, dissed by Burberry and dumped by George. Has this rising star already washed up?

Best of London Fashion Week

As the crazy- busy, tiring but incredible few days of London Fashion Week were all brought to a close yesterday, we’re already feeling homesick at the memories. The amazing shows, the most stylish of  people.
So we’ve decided to do a round up of our favourite moments of the week.

Best Fashion Moments:

1. The Night of the Supers- Naomi Campbell was thrown a party by D&G to celebrate her 25 years in the fashion industry, this was a star studded event with guests including Claudia Schiffer, Alexandra Burke, Pixie Lott and most. On the same night, on the same street Kate Moss held her Longchamp party to celebrate the launch of her new bag for them, making it easy for the fash pack to stroll from one party to the next.

2. Womanly Models- Hurrah for curves! London Fashion Week s/s 11 saw more curves on the catwalk, with larger than normal models taking to the runway at Mark Fast and Giles. Abbey Clancey and Kelly Brook took to the catwalk at Giles Deacon, championing girls with hips and boobs everywhere. Let’s hope the celebration of curves is a trend that will remain.

3. Anna Wintour at Christopher Kane- Anna Wintour, US Vogue editor caused a media storm as she indoors at Christopher Kane’s Spring/Summer 11 show, causing a “pinch yourself” moment for fashion enthusiasts lucky enough to attend.

Pixie Lott Picks - X Factor Judge

Who’s Pixie Lott’s favourite X Factor judge?

The singer knows the panel better than most as she was called in as a guest host to stand in for pregnant Dannii Minogue at the audition stage in Cardiff this year.
It was before Cheryl Cole was dramatically taken ill with malaria so Pixie got to sit between Cheryl and Louis Walsh when the judges went to Cardiff for the show’s Wales auditions. But we’ll give you a clue, Pixie doesn’t take style tips from Louis.

The Mama Do singer revealed to us her favourite judge when we met her during London Fashion Week.
Clearly nobody as stylish as Pixie would take fashion inspiration from high waisted trouser wearing Simon Cowell either…Pixie’s keen on Cheryl – she called her ‘beautiful’ – bless!

Australian plus size model in Milan

Everyone have a thought that plus size models doesn’t suit well for the fashion show, but Penelope Benson, 23, became the first Australian plus-size model to grace the catwalks of Milan Fashion Week overnight after walking in designer Elena Miro's show.  The Aussie model said that the industry was lagging behind; it may be true because what opportunities there for overseas models are not there in Australia.  "It was pretty surreal. I didn't even get nervous I just really enjoyed it – all I was thinking was I'm walking in Milan, this is amazing," this was said by Benson to ninemsn.

Elena Miro's spring/summer 2011 was controversial because the plus size fashion designer forced to do her own show after she was excluded from the Milan fashion week’s official program.

New York fashion models brought a cultural change

The garments on the spring 2011 runway represented the cultural shift. The collections ended here Thursday evening with designers delivering a season's worth of clothes that could best be summed up as nice. But, the mere presence of this mighty industry with its big brands and idealistic entrepreneurs settled in the heart of the city's cultural community at Lincoln Center was a statement of its maturity and growth.

A new, more diverse group of designers now dominates the runways. These designers are Asian-American, Indian, Latino, Turkish and so on. Oddly, however, few of those stirring the waters are African-American. Names such as, Donna Karen, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, Narciso Rodriguez and Michael Kors still matter.

But more importantly, the industry gave in to its future. The balance of power has shifted to a group of designers with varying ethnic backgrounds. They've brought geographic diversity -- from California to Chicago and, of course, New York. They find their inspiration in a vast array of places. Sometimes that gets them into trouble. But, the changes within the industry are extraordinary.
